Scholarship: The Chill Pill

     I ave entered another scholarship. The prompt was interesting.

“If you could say one thing to the entire world at once, what would it be and why?"

I decited to make it a bit ironic and dramatic. I hope Paige enjoys it!

 I don't know how or why they chose me to get a chance to speak to the entire world. Me? I am the type of person who is more of a listener than a speaker. I will probably choke when I get up on stage. Just thinking of the approximately seven billion people watching my every move makes me want to puke.

            Then, on top of that, I got to think what to say to them. This can go two ways. I might think of something grand, but freeze up and forget everything I was about to say or I will probably pick something stupid to say and the world will remember me for my idiotic moment. If I am lucky, I will trip, fall, and die as I walk up to the stage. Yet again, I will still live on in an embarrassing meme or gifs on the internet.

            This is so frustrating. I wish I could take a chill pill. I wish the world could take a chill pill. Maybe Syria's Civil War would be over. Maybe men in Congress will stop arguing about the abortions, like they are ever going to have to get one. The chill pill will make a world where freethinking won't just be in America, governments will be less high-strung, and people like me will learn to not over think. I guess it all starts with me. I should grab that microphone and tell the world and myself to "Just relax".
