Pokemon Go: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly

Pokemon go has taken the world by poliwag storm. Everyone is playing it and it is the top grossing app since the first week of it's release. It attracted people by being nostalgia memories from their 90s childhood with the convenience of being a free app* (well some in-app purchases for user to choose). It also brought a lot of new people to the world of pokemon. I am stuck wondering if this game does more good than bad tho. What do you think?

The Good

People are outside more and off their asses and moving. People finally have a reason to get out and do stuff. Go to a new location just to see if there are other types of pokemon and pokestops, They might meet others who also love the game and share tips. Tips are needed since the app doesn't explain itself well. They need a walk through tutorial of the game to be made for players to see how to play. I went the first two days and didn't know you had to flip the pokestop to get prizes out of it. Make sure you put on sunscreen before your adventures. I got a small burn when I went out. First time you can do that and get exercise while playing a game.

The Bad
Yeah they are outside, but people are still on their phones. This encourages people to be on their phones more than ever before. It just brought this problem outside. People are zombies when they play. A person with their face down and walking around in circles is the easiest way to spot a user of the app. People need their eyes up to see where they are going. Pokemon, isn't something a group of kids should be getting together to just walk and stare at phones. People need to value their time they have with the people around them, not the number of Pokemon they have in an app. They need to disconnect from their phones and connect and socialize with people.

The app is not even that great. This is a very simple beta version of the app. The gyms suck and pokestops take forever to load. Some pokestops and gyms should be reconsidered of their location and the journey to get there. People grieving shouldn't have to see Pokemon Go trainers walk across a cemetery to get to a stop.
I don't get it why people would pay money for in-app purchases for a game that was so badly made. They are too lazy to walk to a pokestop for more balls or something? Yeah the servers are handling a butt-ton of users, but it keeps crashing. Draining battery and data was a given but the battery usage of the app needs to last longer. I am looking forward to updates of this app. It has potential. The idea of an AR app is in the pre-historic dinosaur stage. Cool to play with one but there is more work to be done.I personally don't use my camera cause I believe it kills more battery and makes catching harder.

The Ugly

Safety is a big concern of mine. These days I don't trust people to not fuck shit up for the rest of us. Too many times companies get sued cause their family member was a dumbass for texting, snapping, and soon to be pokemon-going. Yes, I'll admit to using my phone for things in the car but I keep it at a bare min. I know people will try to use their car to cheat. There are rumors of speed limits on the app which limits cars to help hatch your pokemon.

Improvements
It would be nice to see this game improve or even evolve into something better than this. If it wasn't for the nostalgia game, people would rip this beta game to shreds. If the game is going to make people walk around find the safest way to encourage them to do it.

First! The game needs to be able to run the background. I have so many wasted steps untracked since my screen wasn't on with the app open. Running in the background won't already reward me for the steps I already take to hatch my eggs, but encourage people to look up more instead of being poke-zombies. Nintendo created the Pokewalker which does all the things that the app should be able to do.  It ca count your steps, help you use your Pokemon to catch another, allow trading and finding items, and help level up your pokemon. The company of the app (Nintendo, Niantic or otherwise) should take that concept of step walking reward system and apply it to the app.  People should be rewarded by the number of steps they take. Instead, people are rewarded by loitering around a shop and flicking a circle every 5 minutes.

Second! There needs to be an alert system. Most apps have it. It will pop up like a text so people can look up from their phone. Spend the majority of the time being outside and exploring their town. Yes it is a game and this might make the game too easy to be ignored and forgotten about without the users constant attention. Those are two things game makers don't want to happen. However with the concept of this active game there needs to be a way that all users can play without being glued to their phone.

Third! (Final) I would like to see the since of community on the game. I want to see other players on my map and be able to friend the ones I run into in-person. I want friends be able to contact each other when they are distant and I want all in-person trainers be able to trade items or pokemon. Also I want to give the trainers to be able to choose how much information they feel comfortable giving out if this game becomes more social. Since safety is my biggest concern and this game can be dangerous at times, people should be given the ability to protect their privacy when playing.

I have yet to decide if this game is good or bad. It is entertaining and I am excited to see what new updates will bring. What are your thoughts of the game? Is there anything else to improve?
Please let me know in the comments bellow.

Scholarship: The Chill Pill

I ave entered another scholarship. The prompt was interesting.
“If you could say one thing to the entire world at once, what would it be and why?"
I decited to make it a bit ironic and dramatic. I hope Paige enjoys it!

Vidcon DFTBA : '013 (Part one)

All of this was made possible by the brothers
...and Mom and Grandma.
This past weekend my friends (Paige and Jackie) and I took the train to go to Vidcon (Aug 1-4). It was awesome. My mother got me my ticket for my birthday and my grandma (dad's mom; if you wondered) let us crash at her place for the duration of the weekend. She lives like less then a mile away from the convention so it was perfect...PURRRRRfect..

(click on links for hidden surprises
also I'll be posting a part two more about my thoughts,  &opinions, and my errrs & ahhhhhs. So stay tuned for that.)

Tahoe Trip (Summer 2013)

Well two week ago I ventured off on a 9 hour drive to a land with trees, a lake, spontaneous nose bleeds, trees, my cousins, and . . .ohhh did I mention the trees."What town is this?" - Says person who didn't read the title. It was the southern part of Tahoe.
pictures of the tasting room
My cousins beautiful house literally on the lake. They had kayaks and stand-up paddle boards. I prefer the kayaks, not only because of KAY, but also I can't balance of the life of me and wasn't in the mood for the chilly swim. On Independence day we took the boat out on the lake and watched the fireworks from the lake-shore.
Also by the lake-shore, my Aunt and Uncle has their own a wine tasting room in Heavenly Village. It is called Red Poets and Skyhawk Lanes Wines and they even have an running ad. Its on YouTube, but it won't post on here for some reason. It a cool video for me cause I see Aunt Pia (our left) and my Papa (center) at 0:10 and Aunt Renee at 0:17. I must say even though I don't drink (for some odd reason ;), I hear their wine is great and you should check them out if you get the chance to.
While I was there I got a chance bond a little with my crazy smart cousins, Sarah (my age) and Alec (about 2 years younger), that I see about once or twice a year. Sarah is taking AP History (it was world or euro. I don't recall which one.) and Alec is taking Spanish 3 this summer. They make it feel like people would laugh when I showed up with not even 18 physics questions for the summer. **PSHHHHH Sarah reads 30 pages from her history book a night and Alec has to weekly talk to his teacher over the phone IN SPANISH**.
One night they managed to find some time to watch Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Our parents came home from dinner (yah without us D:) and watch with us. I keep on thinking Ferris is Michael J. Fox, but it was Matthew Broderick. They look like twins to me.
Also they have pretty cool pets.

Summer 2013

Well I finally did it (notice how I cut the crap about my leave of absence ;). WELL I AM FINALLY DONE WITH JUNIOR YEAR.
Well it is bitter sweet. With high school getting cooler and cooler each day I attend (and I attended literally each day...literally...even when they said I didn't have too), I found the summer vacation calling to me.
In the last few months since I talked, I managed to get my licence. That is :D and D:
:D because now my worry of my permit expiring is gone and I can drive if needed. But I D: because I never have actually driven alone and thinking of that is some scary stuff man. The closest is when my dad acts distracted by being on his phone as I drive. That sort of makes it feel like I am driving all by my lone-some and helps ease the transition. Next to driving, I managed to have at least 5 A's (one is a secret ninja of a B, grade that is, because chem is weighted). The six class, history, is probably a non-ninja B because the final was hard man.
Well now that that school year is done with I have like 9 weeks of nothing to do. I am thinking of getting a job, but anxiety is holding me back. It is a combination of seeing people I know from my school, but I don't know them enough to converse with, worry of not being professional enough, and unable to help out customers. But hey maybe I will be the type that can work through a task even with the stress. Looking back at it, I even impressed my self with how I handled the stress of being part of the small props group with my school's giant ASL show.
I don't know if I'll even get hired. But next week I am walking over to a near by shopping area and seeing what places need the extra help and see if I am up for that specific challenge.
Next to probably not getting a job, I am heading to Tao to hang with the cousins in a few weeks so look out for a post about it by the middle of July. Also before I go, I need to go to the Del Mar Fair. I have a free ticket cause I entered a picture of my dog (see the pic in my last blog) and I want to see - *BREAKING NEWS* This just in (thanks to Brenda looking to see how I did) . I got second place for the third year not in a row - It's good that I got got second because this year I am in the High School division and the last two times I was in with Middle School division (because it was 7th and 8th grade; La-tee-daa to why I was in that age group). So competition is tougher this year and I manged to keep my 2nd place record, witch is better than getting the dreaded 3rd place or lower. Well even though I know what I got, I still should go because I got that free ticket. :D
Also this summer I hope to use up or toss all the crap I don't need. Kind of like a summer cleaning, were I just organize my room. I most definitely won't do it all in one day, but over time I'll consolidate all the piles of paper and school work from the school year and then burn them at the stake...when I get around to it. Cause my life is so busy! (sarcasm)  But all jokes aside, I only do about 70% of that organizing because by 71% you look around and say "WHAT THE FREAK am I doing?!?" and the organizing gets boring. So you shove everything in one box or drawer and go watch YouTube.
Also, I am super stoked to go to Vidcon for my birthday in August, It will be a blast, but the down side is that summer will be almost over by then.

Me in ten minutes-Whats on my mind

So long time no see...yada-yada...Sorry I am not sorry. I just was lazy. So like the title says, lets see how much I can write in the next 10 minuets.

So I am now only 4 episodes behind on The Walking Dead, nobody spoil stuff for me! I haven't watched Breaking Bad since like Christmas.

I debate about vlogging , as stupid as it sounds (haters going to hate), just to play around with my camera. I might start with a How to cooking video...if you have a better idea? Please speak up.

April is about over and that means an handful of things.
Iron Man 3, Star Trek, and Great Gatsby comes out in the beginning of the month.
I would freaken watch Iron Man 47 if they created that many. I am mostly stoked for Star Trek. While I liked Gatsby the book worrie that Gatsby will be full of baloney (cliches and overly dramatic)

I managed to pick a photo for the Del Mar Fair. Hopfuly this year I will get a first place, if not I don't mind my hat-trick of 2nd place. I'll post my picture once I see that my teacher has made everything offical and what-not.

anyways.
times up
goodnight.

My Frames.

So guess what! I got new glasses.
*** cricket cricket...cricket... silence ***
No really. They are different than my eBay ones.
These actually let me see, they are prescription glasses if you will. They are also transitions and said to be "glare reducing". I can use all the glare reducing I can get. The doc did tell me that I have big pupils, be jealous, and that is why my eyes tear up more than the average eyeballs.
Before I get ahead of myself, let me tell you what they look like. I watched Argo over the weekend with my friends. It was a good movie, but not entirely an Oscar worthy movie. ME being part of the lost generation, the group of young adults who prefer something to be blown up every now and then in a movie or they will say it is boring and fall asleep, I will say that it would be a smudge-above-par movie, but Wreck-it-Ralph was robbed (even though it wasn't nominated). What I did like was the humor that Allan and John (Lester Siegel and John "Pacha" Chambers) added to the movie, even though the "Argo f**k yourself" was drawn out too much. I also liked the visual aspects. The costume designer and set designer gets the Kayla Seal of Approval because the great use of colors and nice vintage feel. My point I was tiring to make in relations to my glasses was that the people in the movie had glasses too. I noticed that the Cora (Clea DuVall) had ones like me, but I prefer hers over mine. Then through out the movie I noticed something else in the hipster eyewear department.
Clea DuVall  as Cora Lijek
I LOVE HER GLASSES,
SHE REMINDS ME OF  A HIPSTER VELMA
&
SHE IS SO SASSY LOOKING.
....& My glasses can be seen as a girls version of John's.
...
win win either way!
#PachaIsTheBest.
^^^ for kyra only ^^^

Things I am starting to notice:
1) My glasses look weird when they are in their "wanna be sunglasses" phase.
2) I am blinder than I thought.
3) They get dirty easily because they are fingerprint magnets. Also, I feel like Piggy from Lord of the Flies when I clean them.
4) They will never fit right, no matter how long I mess with them.
5) I am starting to believe that I am one of thoes people that look weird without glasses on.
6) I got the Jay-Bird stamp of approval today!
7) I really need to start switching out my different color shades. Yes I love my leopard ones, but I have a freaken rainbow to pick from.
8) One more step to hipster...or a wanna be... or a scientist/professor or a wanna be scientist/professor

Ch-Change-Change

I have been noticing every [insert length of time here] that I have been changing.
I am like a amoeba, a lava lamp, the ocean's tide, Taylor Swift's boyfriendsss, a mood ring, coins, any device that has a button that says random/shuffle, the piece of bread that you toast (or burn), entropy,...If you didn't catch on yet, these are all things that change.

(One of the) Greatest Teachers Ever

Well well well. Remember back in September when I said Junior year was going to suck. More I'm importantly I blamed it on Chem  or KhemH as I like to call it. It was honors. My first honors class so I was in shock still. Also the teacher was insane.
Well since I got to move up closer (if you didn't recall (or read it) I sat in the back for a few months),  I was (a) able to see the beautiful board more, (b) could ask more questions because it it easy to hear and see me, and (c) I started to to understand the crazy that was my teacher.

Mission Impossable: Spontaneous Request

If you know me, you should at least know that I have two older sisters or that rummer has it that I am good at taking pictures (that rummer is true). Now you reviewed that, I can move on.
This Mission was given to me at about Thursday, Jan 24 at 12:34 on my way home on a tangerine that I just peeled:
"Hello, Agent KayDog. Your mission, if you choose to except it, is to go to your sister's, Allie, work (Miguel's; Mexican restaurant) and extract some still moments of the [incert whatever that business event was here (I still don't know)]. We have choose your team for you: Agent Rickster, will be in control of the get away car, and Agent Allie-Cat, to help hook you up with what you need to extract. You have about "(Robot voice:) 4 hours" till your arrival at 16:00. Expect to be their, on a mission, no longer than 30 minutes. (breaks character into this valley girl voice for one sentence) *Your welcome to eat dinner there, I recommend their Enchiladas Rancheras.* (comes back to formal voice) But if you ever interfere or come in to contact with the business people by (a) head-on-head colision or (b) spilling the beans on them, that being both physically and metaphorically, then Allie-Cat has the right to kick you out and you wont get the *yummy* dinner...This message will self-destruct in 8 seconds. Good luck, Kay." *** I tossed tangerine out the window into a bush. It hisses and steam comes from under the bush. Then light flashes from the bush and the smoke is no more. ***
So what is a girl to do, but accept this message. So I went, I took pics, and devoured.

The Big Bad Bear -Puts the":O" in ":O"H MY

(requested by: Jeronimo)
So I don't have to tell the story soooooooooo many times, I'll write it on my blog so when this happens (the following is in SoCal Surfer-Dude accent)  "Dude, What happened to your phone?",  I can be like "Dudee, check out my blog!
So over Winter Break, My family and I went on a hike at A Place Where The Tall Tress Grow, CA. We went on this hike. People did small & big talk, but I did music & (rocked out in) ASL. I went about 7.346 miles then my ipod died. So then I went 16.829 kilometers before my phone died. Then I switched the batteries in my phone. I mange to get through one Modest Mouse song before I heard, what I heard.
At this moment it looked like we just landed in Japan everyone around me was running from Godzilla. Me being the slow reactor, is thinking *Wtf is goin-HOLLY CRAP A BEAR*. Then I stood like this [:O>-<. Then shortly after a few minutes (from this point on a man screams "My leg!" every 2-5 minutes) , while people where running like chickens with their heads chopped off, my voice box turned on again and noises expelled from my throat. This is because my throat was dry from the long hike. After my release of emotion, I just sat their for a second [Bl-/-< and the bear sort of did the same thing I was doing.
This "second" turned into a few minutes as I pondered what to do. Then my stomach began to growl louder than the bear, it was even biting at my arm. So I thought of a way to end this quick, so I can get some grub ASAP. Then I proceed with my plan.
So If you know me, like my friends do, you will know my eyes are ubber sensitive to light, wind, and comedians. Anyone of these make the sprinklers or waterworks of my eye go on like *SNAP*, or as my friends would say that I am sweating through my eyes, to solve this I were my colorful sunglasses  Like most days, I had one on this very day. Luckily for me, the EBay fairy didn't come for the bear, so the bear ain't got no sunglasses. If you wondered, I had my orange ones on. So with the sun at about ∠57. 9° above me, I grabbed my paper weight of a beta phone and lined it up where the sun was and hit right in right of both of it's black eyes.
The bear reacted by scrunching up its face and trying to slap the light off his face. Then he, with eyes wide shut and unknowingly, took a step toward me and punch. He managed to come into contact with that same phone of mine that I had in my hand from when I was trying to pick a song to play, that was before all this mess. This force knocks me on my back. From the ground, I watched him starting to walk backwards in to the Place Where the Tall Trees Grow, stumbling on twigs and gopher holes as he went. After falling twice, this bear got the idea that maybe he should turn around. He did just that and disappeared behind the pine, orange, and apple trees.
People ran around like the headless chickens for 7.38 minutes before slowly one by one, my family and other hikers that I saved, noticed that the bear was no more. They all thanked me and offered to buy me dinner and shower me with other awesome gifts, because I saved their life. I said sure why no. Yah it is not the "hero like" thing to accept gifts, but my stomach was turning into a noisy bear. I grab my phone to invite friends to come and celebrate with me, but then I noticed that the phone shattered. I saved at least 22 people (not counting me who counts as 4;) and a few more passing bystanders from a bear and I only got a cracked screen. Pretty cool, don'tcha think.

I even saved this amazing "couple".

Resolutions '013

So it is that time of year. When people make list about what they need to change about them self. Then 2-3 months (or 2-3 weeks) down the road they are laughing and face-palming  because they realize that they were an idiot to make such out of this world goals. They are seating themselves up for failure.
WELL rather then explain to you how stupid I think resolutions are, ...why don't I join the fun? I mean if it last 2-3 months, that is still a big improvement over not attempting to change anything, ..for the better that is. But it dose suck when you try to reach a goal and you wind up worst than before. Like the "one step forward, two steps back" saying. I think that comes from the fact that their goals were so far fetched. WELL,--I am going to take my chances and maybe you will even get something out of this list.

Long Winter Breaks

Well it is that time of year when kids get the longest break from school (other than summer). One week into it all my friends are bored  Some of them are unable or have too much pride (u know who you are) to come over do to do things because of lack of transportation or effort. Then when (and if) they get there, you do that that one scene from Spongboob.

It is pretty much play Wii, eat, watch tv/movies, movies/mall, paint our nails (Haha I'm such a chick), blade/bike/skooter/ect., sleep,  or walk my moms dog/play with my cat or my sister's snake is all there to do.
As the days, hours and minutes wire down I spend my time being a shut in. I haven't felt the light of day in over a year. I last saw light when I stepped outside into the world to see The Hobbit with Madison. Other than that, my last few days have been me convincing myself to do my homework and even get head if I can.
IF YOU WANT TO KNOW MY HOMEWORK LOAD- I mostly worked on my history project the last few days. I caught up with most of the stuff for the hw packet (all but one). I have a photo winter scaverg hunt that I am half done and I'll post some of my photo stuff soon. I have a butt load of Chemistry. I need to do bookwork and a dreadful year long review packet. It has like 50 questions and I'll need Google for most of them. I did, or should I say attempted, my math hw. ASL deaf hours are coming up near the end of the month. I wrote one essay, need to write my other, and need 3 more hours. Should I do a blog post on that? I have no English hw, but I wanted to do my Spielberg Movie logs (a paper about one of his movies I watch) and the Screening Report on Oklahoma. This is so I don't have a butt load when I get back.
As I do my history project, I see the clock tick away as this break ends. Yes, I wouldn't mind going back to school, but I am not ready to adjust to the hustle and bustle of everyday life. For the last two days, I spent my day doing what I normally do on my Sundays,...Staying in my PJS, eating, hw-ing, and slightly cleaning (besides packing for [said Parent's] house). I am going to have a PaigeTan by the end of the week. Yes, I do swoon over the beautifulness that is pretty pale and fare skinned people *ehhhem* Paige. But I will look like Kasper, Ladygaga (skin; not fashion), Michael Jackson (the white one), a vampire....SO WHHAT, my eyes will melt in the sun and my skin will either burn in flames or sparkle or worse. They will sparkle,  flames, THEN I BLOW UP (#Iamsquidward)....*hey kayla your taking this a bit too far*
Yes, yes I know I just had to remind people that I'm flipin hilarious. Well now that is out of the way is there really anything left to say--*YESSS! The People want more.* Well I--*THE PEOPLE WANT MORE.*--i-I-I-*DON'T ARGUE WITH THE PEOPLE* Fine, to give you more (and distract you to get you out of my hair) watch this video. (sorry I can't post this to blogger for some reason)

25randoms

I'm thinking of starting a new thing which I will randomly state 25 things. (Which means this wont last long.) I will post one when I have completed 25 random things to say. These could be witty things I want to say, small little notes to myself, or stuff out of context that I found funny.

What went down on 12.21.12

In Chemistry
Well hello there, Today is finally 12.21.12. Now as I type this I am currently in photo (first period). Now before I get a head of my self let me explain something to you. Earlier this week my school allegedly got a gun threat, by a Junior. A kid that is in my grade. A kid that, from what I know, has the same English and History Class as me. The point I am getting at is that this school is a ghost town right now. The threat was made for today and that scared some parents. Even my mom didn't want me to come. Also, kids are playing hookie because it is Senior ditch day, people taking their winter break a day early for trips and such, and also people rather spend their last hours with their family (or parting it up). Note to the Mayans watching this: There is always a Walmart or Target (or some calendar store) in spitting distance, so go power up your dang Flintstones and go down to whatever store to buy yourself a new freaken calender. Sorry, but us non-Mayans do it about every 365.25 day, 12 months or 8,766 hours. I say about because some of us are eager than others to get the new kitty cat or nature scene calendars.
-well for now I must go to chem keep you posted.
(Inseret the greatest put on hold elevator music here for IDC amount of time. I now type this from my room.)
Class was not your typical day. They made it where we have both odd and even today because they wanted us to have an equal  # of hours in each class. How many people where in my classes? Well instead of me spelling it out, let me just paint a graft.

class-# of kids(not counting teacher or me)- comments/what we did

photo- 5- this class had a good % seniors, but 3 did show up. I listed to music and emailed my Nana

< img src = "image_url" atl "Alternative_Text" />*passing time*- talked to the gang for a second and got a cool present from Sergio (Im name dropping w/o your permission Jeronimo) that looked like it was wrapping paper that was wrapped up. I planed to open it at lunch. Kyra gave me body butter in the car ride to school. It was a little sweet for my taste (because Kyra is 2/3 part surgar pie (2/7 parts human, and rest is crazy juice)), but it was still good. Kyra gave Sergio a leggo Patrick Star key chain. I  must break its legs. (I accidently did that to 2 of kyra's keychains.) Kyra got a Sponge Bob poster from Sergio. Also I for got to mention that both Kyra and I got a BestFriendsEver ring from Sergio. They were made from wood because he takes wood shop. Also, they happen too express another SpongeBob reference.

ChemistryH- 12-  I believe there was high turn out because it was an honors class or people like the teacher or playing his xbox- i played with my phone, eaves dropped, asked one chem question, and took a pic of the board

*Small 17m break- I hung out in history with a few of my friends in my history class. I didn't feel like hunting the gang down so I walked strait their.Sergio had history too (different class), but couldn't track down his friends. So he popped his head into my class, finally wearing the Mike Wazowski green shades I gave him. We talked with a few of our other friends in the room, then the bell rang*
History- 13- this is because this is a big class (like 43 kids)-we took 2 notes and watched 2 clips. One was of Ferris Bueller's Day Off it showed the 2 scenes/montage of Ferris trying to beat his parents home from playing hookie. My teacher gave us candy canes.
fancy board in math
Algebra- 6- we worked on 5 math problems and did a raffle (We get tickets for passing out papers and writing work on the board) I got 2 chocolate bars.

ok I will stop because this is getting out of hand.
*Lunch time* I passed out my brownies to people. I gave Sergio his 2 bottles of silly string and homemade paper clip SpongeBob necklace. I opened the thing I was carring and it was a poster of 20 cats with headphones. First thing, I thought was to tape sunglasses on the kittens.

Sponge Bob is referenced so much between
my friends.
ASL-10-did as we pleased, but we had to sign for 25points, I played pictionary and ninja with my friends, Amanda and Madison.

English- 9- we just talked as a group. The girl next, Alexa, to me described it as the breakfast club. I would agree, but I also saw it more of a nice version of TMZ, were my teacher/classmates would tell stories and at one point we went around the room asking what people would do for break.
That is if my teacher was this.

Hope you like that the world didn't end.
smileface(:

As the day went on, I noticed that a few kids too pictures of their class (candid; not a group posed :D type of photo) they wanted to make a collage out of them and show the people, like the ones who ditched, what it really looked like.
Maybe next time, I'll try to look ahead like that. It would have been cool if I did that.

sorry, with the excessive pictures.

Back to the...Storyboarding

Recently, I have a lot of time on my hands. Maybe this is because 4 weeks ago I had the ASL  Show (Where my ASL class preformed songs in ASL ) and that took 2 nights of 5 hour practice and 2 nights of 2 hour performance. That is when I learned to be more productive with the time I have on hand...Maybe I am just getting better at getting my my time management-To that i say "HAHA." Maybe my teachers are giving out less work, because I can't tell you the last time I had English homework.
In English and History, we have been learning about film elements. Please don't get your panties in a twist, the classes are made to learn though the use of film and the exploration of the film elements. Every once and a while, I have moments when I wanted to go strait home, dust off my DSLR, and try to film something, anything, just to experiment with. But when I arrived home, stuffing my face with food and plopping myself in front of the talking box sounds better. Little do I know that my work will soon be plastered in the media that I was consuming.(And I'm not talking about the food) Haha...I am being full of myself. But hey, you never know! :D
As of right now I have no inspiration for a big blockbuster movie, but I just wished to find a scene to fiddle around with my camera and moviemaker. Something that I can practice filming with multiple angles and get a feel for stuff. Then as reaching over for a tissue, that was out of my reach, it hit me. I remember watching a silly YouTube video of a guy tiring to reach the TV remote from his bed, but it was out of stretching distance. He made it so dramatic...well it is not really that dramatic, but it does earn some TeeHee's (SHOUT OUT too any Nigahiga fans out there?).
Also during lunch yesterday some of my friends came up with the idea to make a movie. I don't know if we are actually go through with it, but whatever. Now it will be cool tiring to brainstorm a scrip and whatnot. I mean I thought about interviewing one of my friend's about her weird dreams and maybe create a scene that follows the idea that she gave me.
Come to think about it, my last movies I filmed were pretty much the same. In 8th grade, I made a movie for English about a girl who gets kidnapped and I played the role of the girl. Then last year, in ASL II, the project was to make a movie using medical signs and I played the role of the injured girl. This year in photo, I played a roll of a girl that got chased and then headbutted to the ground. I was technically the star roll in all of them, but that was because of default. Both of them involved my character to get physically harmed by the bad guy and cops (& a doctor for the ASL one, and a wizard for the photo one) had to help save me.I need more variation. I need a new story plot.
So for now I'll keep you posted about my movie related things.

How to Become Charismatic

So you want to be more Charismatic? *You shake head (left-right)* No? Well then do you want to look more friendly? *Silence, followed by no comment* Well, you at least want to trick people into thinking you are friendly? * "Ehhhh" and ehhhh faces D: * Ok Great :D we are getting somewhere.
I on the other hand would love to enlighten you...But even more I would like to do my part and help rid the world of self centered people ("my friend" is the best example). Maybe I can almost do this by teaching them how to communicate to a point to when they could help trick people in to thinkin-- (i was going to say "thinking that they aren't  shallow or narcissistic")--ehhh what is the use. Just read my list and use it for whatever reason you may need.

This can be narrowed in to a few steps.

1) Acting interested in convocation
-There are times when you should be doing little to no multitasking when hanging with your friends.
When I learned ASL, They teach you to have your full attention on the other person. Well that can be a bit creepy if you stare, flat-faced, at the person. Taking stuff like that into consideration, you can at least take a headphone out, stop txting as much, or getting your nose out of your kindle. Yet again at times it is ok to txt, but not to much or it is disrespectful.

Example: One day during lunch my friend was like 2 feet away from my group of friends eating .When we would be talking she would let out a loud laugh or exaggerated her speech. It over powered our conversation and was very annoying. She did this for like 30 minuets of lunch.

Example: I was in my friend's car and she was listening to her iPhone  I ask for her to turn it down cause the stupid One Direction was making it where I can't here my own thoughts. SHE HAD HER FLIPPIN HEADPHONES IN TOO. She looked at me, shook her head, and laughed. Her mom did a more subtle laugh that meant "hey my daughter is being a rude brat, but I am not going to stop her"

2) Body Language
I hated being in elementary school and every one sat on the same side of the lunch table. You had to yell down the row of people to talk to a person. That's why I liked sitting on the other side so I can actually talk to people.
What I am trying to get at is that pick a good angle. Also, like in ASL, eye contact is good, but not too much or it be weird.

Example: When my friend met my other friend for the first time, she showed no eye contact and he called her out on it.

3) cheese stuff.
  • Be confident - my favorite saying is "You're only human." so it is ok to screw up and laugh it off
  • Humor is always great--if you use it correctly and not stupidly
  • Be Ethical- look at stuff in different perspectives, in the other's shoes, ect.
  • Take put downs like a grain of salt, but if you can't tell them in a way that doesn't sound whinny. Come backs are great too.
  • What did I miss?

4) What I tend to do...
I tend to ask questions about the other person to get the conversation running. And what is great to do is if they/you throw the same question back that you/they asked them. This shows that they/you are interested to hear their response to the question. I tend to call this as the Meet-Me-Half-Way method. This is also a good chance to see if they care enough to through the question back at you or they don't or/and rather talk about something different.

5) other/fill-in later/What are your thoughts?

Once again, here is this if you have another problems. I have yet found a use for it. Oh, when I do, ill for sure tell you.
